  Despite all the positive reviews, we did not enjoy the food here. The view is magnificent and the service was decent, as were the drinks. We had a group of 4 and we all ordered different meals. The best meal was the fish and chips, even though the fries were under-cooked. The pizza I had was bland and toppings were scarce - I had to add salt, which it shouldn't have needed considering two of the toppings were bacon and sausage - now that I look at the menu again, I don't think I even received the pizza I ordered! My friend had a steak which was overcooked, and his corn was literally cold to the touch just after having been served. My other friend had the ribs and she didn't eat much of her meal at all, being very unimpressed and not finding it appetizing. We did enjoy the jalapeno cheddar cornbread however the menu mentions smoked butter and we didn't notice anything special about the butter. I have noticed that the online menu does not match the menu in the restaurant. When asked how our meals were and my friend said his steak was ok, our server didn't inquire further to see if anything could be done to fix it. SUMMARY: Even if the items cost less, I'd still be quite dissatisfied. Be forewarned, and maybe just go for a snack and a drink and to enjoy the view!

  Had a great experience yesterday at the iron goat! Very friendly and attentive staff, unbelievable view from a very large , comfy patio . We shared a coupe appetizers... The beef carpaccio and the calamari ... Both were quite good... The calamari was prepared differently than you would normally expect , which was great. Large pieces of calamari and sliced green and red papers, lightly breaded and fried... Really good! It seems to be busy all the time, so maybe a reservation would be a good idea. We found the attached parking lot small and full but found another parking area just past the roundabout on the street . Again, the patio was a great experience... What better way to enjoy a cold drink and some food !

  This place is uptight and REALLY picky about group sizes. We walked in with a large group, which I admit can be challenging for restaurant. The person who greeted us at the door vocalized his frustration that we didn't make a reservation. That was weird, but I forgave it. They escorted us to separate but adjacent tables. OK, fine. We asked one of the servers if they would mind us pushing the tables together. She said yes. Then another server came over and talked to us about how we "aren't supposed to push our tables together" and that it had "been mentioned to us when we came in." I understand that restaurants have rules to help their operation run smoothly, but everyone in our group felt scolded and patronized. The food was pretty good, but kind of expensive. If you are looking for a laid-back place to go after a climb or hike, this place is not it. It's clearly not a good fit for our climbing group so we'll look for another regular post-cragging spot.
