  I'll have more on this next year, but I just want to start it out by saying I love this place. I knew we wanted a casual place to hold the ceremony and reception, and I knew we wanted the mountains. After a few headaches and unreturned phone calls from many other places, I received my reply from the Ranch via email the day after I had emailed. When I came across this venue, I knew on paper it was my perfect place. The drive out there was totally worth it; it was exactly what we imagined and much much more. I cannot wait for the day. The lady we spoke with (an owner - I am so sorry, I can't for the life of me recall her name without my notes in front of me) and who showed us the facilities was amazing and just gave us the perfect feeling. The price is right, the scenery is beautiful, and it encompasses everything altogether! Can't wait!!

  I was very disappointed with our experience. After booking over one year ahead of time and family going to considerable expense to travel half way around the world for our family gathering, they emailed us a week before (after everyone had already booked flights and having made these arrangements with the ranch a year in advance) that they would not provide wagon or carriage rides because they had made other plans personally for the weekend. When we toured their grounds they showed us their gazebo with the panels open and beautiful mountain views (as shown on their website) then on the day we arrived they had closed it up with ugly tarps due to the rain the previous week. When we made the reservation our expectation was that the space would be as presented and guests could see the mountains while eating at the tables inside. The guy initially refused to help open up the gazebo insisting the tarps should be left up, then took a hard line saying "Don't like it, I'll cut you a cheque right now" . . . eventually he did take down a few of the tarps and the rest of the day went smoothly but we found his manner crass and misogynistic, his customer service skills lacking and the failure to deliver (in terms of the facilities were not as initially represented and no wagon rides), to be gross misrepresentation/ fraud. I strongly recommend taking lots of photos and recording any promises they make when touring the site in case you need to submit evidence in court later. I would not trust them again to handle anything important.
